The University of the South is located in Sewanee, on top of the Cumberland Plateau (what the locals call “the Mountain”). The University’s property (the “domain”) covers more than 13,000 acres, most of which is forest.
The main meeting point for the Colloquium is Convocation Hall which is on the corner of Georgia Avenue and University Avenue. Shuttles to and from the Smokehouse Lodge and the Super 8 will be available in the morning and evening. Parking also will be available on campus.

The two closest airports to Sewanee are the Chattanooga Airport, abbreviated CHA, about 60 miles away, and the Nashville International Airport, abbreviated BNA, about 90 miles away. Sewanee is located about 5 miles from I-24, which runs between Nashville and Chattanooga.
There are several excellent restaurants in and around Sewanee, as well as places for coffee and light meals. The Colloquium meals are generally less expensive than dining out.
